Hello there anyone, I'm having problems with my ipod lately when I'm hearing song on it all of a sudden my ipod freezes and I cant reset it. I have to wait for awhile til the ipod battery deads out. I restore the ipod thur iTunes and it still froze up. Does anyone does how to fix this problem or know what is wrong with my ipod?
Do any of yall have any warranty for their iPod? My problem is I bought it from the original owner of the iPod and he didnt give me the receipt. So I want to know what is the problem. I keep resetting the iPod and charging it and trying it out again but no luck. I try formatting the iPod also no luck, it plays for awhile but then it gets stuck. When it gets stuck the iPod gets hot on the back, I dont know if it does that to someone one else. I think its something in the harddrive or it just went bad not sure tho, cause it still works for awhile. Has anyone contact apple?

1.just move the hold switch like 4 times and last time move it to unlock
2.hold the Menu button with the Select button at the same time for about 8 seconds- don't work try it again
Hey Tenshi0117 I have done that so many times and Im still doing it, that doesnt fix the problem. I want to know if theres any solution to fix this problem.
Ah, finally someone who has encountered the same problem as me....and yet it looks like there is no resolution...****!! The only difference with mine was that just before this happened a few songs were playing and they skipped along...after which I am in the same boat as all of you..
Ok now I ran into another problem, my iPod was working fine for about a week wasnt doing the freeze up thing again I thought that everything was back to normal but I was wrong. Now like 3 days ago my iPod was playing fine and all of a sudden it froze up again and the little iPod with the !mark popped up, when I got home I put my iPod to charge up for like 24hours and nothing its still died and it wont charge up.
i'm having the same sort of problem with the same ipod. it's been happening for 2 weeks now. usually 10 minutes into my run it starts pausing in a song then locks up completely. i've reset it numerous times, charged the battery, restored it etc. i want to know how to fix it and stop it from happening.
Still no one has the answer or talk to apple care, well my battery is gone I believe cause I have left it charging for 2 days stright and still its not charge up so Im going to replace the battery but not thur apple cause I read up on other forums and they say that apple's batteries dont last that long and came to this site, if anyone wants to look it up www.ipodjuice.com. Im going to get one from them and replace the old one, I'll post my results on here just for yall know if the problem was solve or not. Never know it could be the battery whats causin all them problems.
I'm having the same problem - iPod freezes in the middle of a song for a few seconds before carrying on for a few minutes before freezing again, the longer I leave the iPod on, the longer the time the freezes last for increases.
Also, sometimes when I switch the iPod on, it freezes up almost immeadiately, the only way I can get it to then work is to charge it back up (resetting doesn't work, the apple logo stays dull or the sad iPod icon comes up), it then comes up "very low battery, please wait" for a bit as soon as its plugged in. This is quite strange when it has been fully charged during the afternoon, disconnected and made sure it's turned off to be used just a few hours later to find that the battery has drained.
This would lead me to think that it is a battery problem but I'll wait for the above poster to report back before I decide to change mine as it may be a problem with the hard drive.
I'm having this same problem. I downloaded the new Kings of Leon album and it freezes and resets after playing 3 or 4 songs. I've tried reseting and restoring the settings.
My ipod has been doing this for two days now,, I've toggled the hold switch, and tried resetting, but the only way it works is to let the battery go dead...
Please help,,,if anyone can, I would be greatful..Thanks
O MY GOSH, that actually worked! I thought I had tried everything, and it wasn't ever going to be fixed, but I guess that was just crazy enough to work!!
Kings of Leon does the same thing to both of my ipods, so it's something on the itunes end. If I play just the album it plays half then locks up either ipod.
