Itouch Smart List

Created a smart list. In edit, use LAST PLAYED is not in last 10 days. But song does not change over to last played for that date (which will be the day it was played) Would not like to hear same song within the 10 days. Is there a way so Itouch will recognize when the last time song is played or should I use some other edit so same song does not play within the time frame I choose?
