Mac Newbie needs mail help.

I just switched to a Mac and at the advice of a buddy am using Mac Mail instead of MS Entourage. I have a mobile me account that is set up to sync with a Windows Laptop. The primary mail account I use is my Hotmail account. The problem that I am having is that I have deleted over 200 messages in Mac Mail that were in my hotmail account and they keep showing back up. If I move them to a different folder in Mac Mail they show up again in the inbox as well. How can I get this fixed?

Check in the settings if it's POP3 or IMAP. If it's POP3, it's supposed to do that. If it's IMAP, something's obviously wrong.....

Also, why use Hotmail? If you switch to Gmail, you'll feel so much better. (And you won't have this problem!)

I just opened a Gmail account today but so many people have mu hotmail account it is tough to change. I found some innocuous settings in the mail configuration so I hope they have fixed my problem. I am going thru my inbox deleting messages for the 3rd time.
