2.0.2 is out! Did it fix your 3G/EDGE/WiFi connection issues?

Can't update mine right now (at work), but did 2.0.2 fix any of the stupid network bugs that has plagued so many of us?

I have 2.0.2 installed and have no added stability. I have dropped four or five calls today all while showing 5 bars of 3g service. While at work my phone does not receive even one bar of signal while other Edge and 3g ATT phones show 2-3 bars. Most of my day is spent going between no signal and one bar of unspecified network. I am a recent adapter of the iPhone and am beginning to wonder why there isnt more quality control comming out of Cupertino. I know that other company in WA sure gets a lot of scrutiny if its products arent up to snuff. If I am paying nearly $200 per month in service and 300 for a premium phone, I expect premium service and products.

I basically lost the edge network about a week ago, seems connected to the recent 2.01 upgrade. Updated to 2.02 and problems persisted. I did a complete restore last night "NOT FROM BACKUP" ⚠. I think that's important--whatever was corrupting the network would have simply been restored from backup. Do a restore and treat it like a new phone; just add your old sync stuff over fresh. (THAT MEANS DON"T FORGET TO DO A COMPLETE SYNC BEFORE RESTORING). So far so good, edge is behaving even faster than before.

Good luck. I know what a pain this can be.

Ever since I updated to 2.0.2 my 3G reception has gone done from 5 Bars to 1. (I did all the recommended resets, hard resets, network setting resets and restores without improvement).
The most annoying part however is that I no longer can connect to any wifi. After a hard reset it allows to join it for a short while but then drops the connection, not finding any networks afterwards.

Has there been any announcement on a 2.0.3 release?

Any Ideas?

My experience has been similar to those of the authors of the posts above. No improvement on stability. I have almost never used 3G since I bought the phone because it doesn't work (except for brief periods of optimism when I decide, unsuccessfully, to give it another try). I live and work in the center of a giant blue "3G coverage area," but I have to use EDGE and wifi. Just like the owners of the original iPhone who pay less for their data plan.

No this fix did nothing for me. I still get on average 4 "call failed" events when trying to dail out each day. I get dropped calls when not moving around. I also get into a strange state where no E or 3G are shown in the display. Also during web browsing, sometimes it will just sit there forever with the little "thinking/working" icon spinning aimlessly. Only way out of this is to close browsers or try again later.

I live in the heart of silicon valley litterally a few miles from apple. I've never in all my years experienced so many dropped calls or failures when trying to dial out. this is my first apple product and i'm trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. sans the actual "phone functionality" its wonderful. As a phone it ***** thus far.

I want to "believe" there will be a fix and will hold out as long as i can becuase i know/hope/assume apple is working on this. =]

Surprisingly it fixed my Contacts issue, which was painfully slow to open before... It was supposed to be fixed in the 2.0.1 update, but it didn't for mine... 2.0.2 did fix it however... It could be faster yet though...

Now my major issue is 3G! WOW, dropped calls constantly and a frozen iPhone after the fact... New experience for me and I DON'T LIKE IT! HELP! I've tried everything! I never used to experience dropped calls... I praised AT&T to everyone... Now what do I tell people?
