On a side note, I've noticed that my phone loses time now. I went to lunch today and looked at my phone when I got back to my cube and the time flashed 2:07 for less than a half a second, then replaced that time with 1:41 or something similar. Also, when I woke up this morning, I checked my phone to see what time it was and it showed 2:xx AM, then flashed times up all the way until 6:xx AM, displaying several times (4-5) in between. Actual time was about 8:15. Going in and out of Airplane mode gets current time. This was on 2.0.1, though.
Nope. Even worse, all my downloaded applications crash within 5 seconds of being opened. Restarting the phone and re-applying update have done nothing to fix it.
yes. it is surprisingly faster for me in both safari and in fetching emails. 2.0.1 used to take FOREVER to do either. that said, the max signal i get on my meter is still only 3/5 bars. it usually sits at 2-3 bars.
Experiencing exact same behavior: super slow 3G speed (45 sec to refresh weather as opposed to a few sec via EDGE...) and switched from 3G to EDGE while standing on my desk after a minute.
The kicker is, it does show 3 bars of 3G instead of 1 with 2.0.1 (when it's on 3G...) so it looks like they just change the way the bars LOOK with this update... now, that's useful...
No, I still lose the ability to make data connections on EDGE. As before, the workaround is to enable and disable airplane mode. That gets network connectivity back up and running for a bit. I must say I'm pretty disappointed.
Me too. I'm having more bugs with 2.02 than before. It looks like apple simply changes the appearance of the reception bars to make it seem as if you're getting a better reception. But it's simply for show because my data is slower than ever and all my apps that require data (like myspace) don't log in anymore. Pandora does not function either.
