Making the switch, 3G -> 5G

I bought an iPod video to replace my 3G iPod. Is there an easy way to backup my 3G's songs and place them on the 5G? I've had a hard drive crash and lost all of the songs in iTunes on my iBook, so I'd hate to have to put all those CDs back on my iBook to make the transfer. Any ideas?

I too I'm doing the same thing. Go to versiontracker.com and do a search for ipod and copy. PodWorks looks like a good product, but it's up to you.

Also, I've got songs from iTunes on my iPod. Anyone know if I need to deautherize my 3G iPod before I sell it?
