Mail stopped working on iPod Touch

Mine stopped working too but I don't know where to go to update to 2.2???

2.1 is the latest. The 1st poster updated to 2.02 (back in August), not 2.2.

I have 2.1 before my mail messed up. I just asked it to do a restore and BINGO!!!! it worked! Now I just wish that my google, outlook and ipod touch mail/contacts will work together for me. Thanks, anyone with great ideas. I am trying to hang in there and not go back to my pda.

Dear all,There's something that my ipod touch is doing but I don't know what! I posted yesterday saying that after I restored my ipod to its original configuration, it downloaded my mail. But it never did that again, showing only that "Checking for Mail" icon. So I did another restore, and same thing; it downloaded my mail, but then totally unable to fetch mail a second time. Rather desperate. Any suggestions please?

It is connected to the internet, I checked on that.

I have the same problem, since i updated to software version 2.1. - I' m using imap accounts, and the touch didn't download or send anything until I restart the ipod touch. One or two days later (after the restart) the same problem happend again. How to fix it?

I am using Version 2.1 on my iPod Touch. I use imap to receive my mail. I'm not sure if this ever worked in 2.1 but not the little gear goes around and eventually comes up with a message saying "connection to the server "imap.gmx.com" failed". I'm using port 25 for outgoing mail and 110 for incoming. I have verified the correct settings with GMX. If I get on the computer, go to GMX, and look at the mail, it's there. It's just not working on the Touch. This leads me to believe that it's something wrong with the Touch software. Anyone have any clues? Thanks.

I'm having trouble as well. I use both imap and pop email accounts and all worked just fine until about a week ago. Software 2.1.1. I reset the itouch and its working right now...
