Do I need to transfer 'purchase' information to my new iMac?

Before buying my new iMac I had an old G4 Powerbook. I bought lots of music on the Powerbook and that showed up nicely in the purchased area of iTunes. I was also able to go to the iTunes music store to utilise the iTunes Plus upgrades (for purchases I had already made) and the 'complete my album' tool (similarly for music already purchased)

Now that I have switched to using my new iMac as my main machine, the purchases made whilst on my old G4 don't show up in the purchased list in iTunes.

I can obviously live without this but will this being incomplete affect my iTunes Plus upgrade facility or the complete my album utility?

Have you already copied the tracks to the new system? If so, just locate them in iTunes - the easiest way is to select to show the "Kind" column, sort by that column, and look for "Protected" and "Purchased" - and just drag them to the Purchased playlist.

iTunes Plus and Complete My Album work from the Purchase History in your iTunes Store account, not the Purchased playlist, so it's not critical that you get the tracks back into that list.

Regards.
