I just got a dedicated server, and I have to say I'm completely over my head. It came with a Plesk 30 domain license for free, but I don't want to use a control panel anymore. Not only that but it won't work =\

The server is using FreeBSD 6, and I am using a MacBook with fully updated Leopard.

Is there any way, free or not, to use remote desktop software to connect to my server and manage it that way, instead of using ssh on terminal? I know the files I need to modify, I already have the site set up locally. There are some things I need to change in httpd.conf and that's the only reason I got a dedicated server.

I'm at a loss to do anything with this server at the moment, after pressuring the company to get it running as soon as possible, I can't even do anything with it.

Mac OS X (10.5.4), switched from xp pro

If you want to be able to take control of the server, look into the freeware VNC. That will give you control capabilities so you can run the server as if you were at it's screen and keyboard.
