Changing Background Color in Pages

Does anyone know how to change the background color of a poster? For example, I want the poster to be black, with orange text. Right now I have a white page with orange text and can't figure out how to change the background color. Can anyone help?

Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Welcome to Apple Discussions,

Insert a square object, resize it in the Metrics Inspector (or simply grab the handles and drag it to the size you want) then go to the Graphic Inspector and click on the color box and choose the color you want. Now, in the Arrange menu, send it to the back.
