iMac G3 - Mouse Problem

I have two mouses - an Apple Pro Mouse and a Dell mouse. Both were working fine until a few weeks ago.

One day, my iMac froze, so I turned it off. When I turned it on, I tried navigating my mouse cursor to my user account, and the cursor didn't respond despite the multiple surfaces I rubbed it over. I've tried inserting both mouses into every USB port, including those on the keyboard to no avail. The keyboard works fine - I can use the arrow keys to navigate to the desktop. I've put the mouses in our PC, and they work fine. What's wrong, and how do I fix this?
