HDD doesn't show up - AE shows orange blinking light

Hi,
I bought am external drive (Lacie, 750GB) but it doesn't work with my AE. I have plugged it in and the light turns into yellow.If I'm taking it out, the AE light goes back to green.
Also in my AE Utility it doesnt show up.
What's wrong? Do I need special HDD's to make it work?
OR do need to configure/mount the HDD in a certain way?
