Itunes downloading question

I've never used Itunes before, so when I go to download a new song, will I need to save it on both my Itunes Library and the hard drive of my computer or just the Itunes Library?

The iTunes library is on your computer's hard drive. Files in iTunes are by default stored in your My Document folder in the iTunes -> iTunes Music folder. All you need to do is import a CD or purchase a track from the iTunes Store; iTunes will handle everything.

As a new iTunes user, you might find some or all of these sites helpful:

I purchased three songs from the group Kansas, but none of the songs has downloaded - they are not in the list as all the others are on my iPOD???? But when I check the iTUNES purchases it states that they have been, when indeed they have not. Please help I don't want to stop using this now that I have been reg., etc. Not as easy to use as they would suspect or there wouldn't so many emails re:problems, etc.
thanks

Grameo, I'd suggest you start a new topic with your issue (use the "Post a new topic" link at the top of each main topic page). It's generally better to ask a question as a new topic rather than as a reply in someone else's thread, It's more courteous to the original poster, and is more likely to get your question the attention it deserves.

But for a quick check, try the Check for Purchases command. If the tracks were purchased but not downloaded, they may be sitting there waiting.

Regards.
