Should i get an iphone?

I have never had a problem with my Gen 1 iphone and I don't personally know anyone who has had an issue with their 3G iphone.

The vast majority of owners have experienced no issues. Most of the people in this forum have. This forum; however, is not an accurate or representative sample of all owners.

I would say to get one, you probably won't have any problems. And most of the problems, are relatively minor.

I would say yes!! I have had mine since launch day and had no problems at all!! The majority of users on this forum are people who may have had problems with theirs, the tens of thousands who haven't probably don't need to use this forum! 🙂 I just like seeing what problems people are having and seeing if I can help them! 🙂

i had the 1st gen iphone and now the 3g, never had a problem with either. hands down the best device ive ever owned.

If your IQ is above 120 i say go for it. All the issues can be fixed easily with a little use of the gray matter.

It is true though, I was in the store I bought mine in and was chatting with the girl who sold me mine and she was telling me about a few people coming back in with the most stupidest of minor problems!!! Some people just don't have a clue how to read a manual!!! I know us guys don't like having to read them but they really are useful!! 🙂

To th OP; Don't listen to the children on this forum. Wait until Apple releases a software version that actually works. For now save your money.

Dude! ok....... sure...... the iphone does work!! It works for me any many many others! Don't listen to the disgruntled few who have bad experiences! (PS, we're not children...)

Depends on what you're looking for. I was looking for a single device to hold my calendar and contact data (without major issues) AND be a decent phone. Over the years, I've used multiple flavors of Palm and Windows CE/Pocket PC/Mobile devices - never to really find what I was looking for. Then there's Blackberry, which doesn't work for me, because my company doesn't support them. They don't support the iPhone either, BUT Exchange ActiveSync works just fine, once I was setup. Anyway...I've had issues with most of the Windows-based mobile devices, just slow, or crash/lockup, etc. The last being a false sense of security (showed good sync, even when it wasn't passing data). That was the last straw for me - SO, went for the iPhone, and VERY glad I did. I've had the new 3G iPhone since it's release - and couldn't be happier. Fetches my personal email, as well as my Corporate mail, contacts and calendar. PLUS all of the other handy apps I use on a daily basis (Epocrates, SkyScape AtoZ drugs, Fizz Weather, Google, AIM, SplashID, and more). The ONLY issue I've had is using MobileMe. Good in concept - hasn't proven itself in reality. Take the plunge.

What type of user are you? What are you going to use it for? As a business user, my focus is on phone/email/calendar/contacts. I am less than satisfied but not ready to give up yet. If you understand the quirks and bugs, you can make an informed decision.

We're happy with both our iPhones.
