keyboard shortcut to rate songs?

ive just completely re-done my entire library, going through and correctly tagging and organizing all my music. i have almost 15,000 songs, and i dont feel like going through and rating each one. is there a keyboard shortcut to rate songs? i've googled, and only found a solution for mac's using a script. basically when i'm listening to music, i'll rate a song as i hear it, but it's getting kinda annoying to keep switching between firefox and itunes just to rate the song

well, you can right-click on the iTunes icon in the systray (aka Notification Area).

Also, you can get the Yahoo Widget Engine and choose from a plethora of iTunes widgets that let you rate your song quickly. e.g. http://home.comcast.net/~teridon73/itunesscripts/iTunes_ezRate.widget, which lets you rate the currently playing song from 1-10 -- in effect, lets you rate with 1/2 stars (divide by 2 to get the equivalent iTunes rating.)
