My Macbook beeps and wont turn on

I have had my MacBook for 4 days and it was shut last night and sleeping and when i woke up it wouldnt come back from sleeping so i turned it on.. it sounded like it was booting up but then the sleep light start blinking simultaneously with this very high beep. it beeps three times over and over again. what does that mean?
