Radio on iPhone 3G?

How about radio on the Iphone 3G?

Some questions:

I found a great site with lots of radio stations called www.nederland.fm/iphone

All of these stations open a (I believe) quick time player and work great, even after pushing the sleep button. I cannot use the web browser any more during listening though, because that would close the player as well.

I heard the rumour that there would be a radio receiver already built in inside the iPhone, is this true? And if, how do I use it?

Does anyone knows other radio sites that work on the iPhone? Most of the sites are trying to open a flash player I believe, and the iPhone doesn't know that.

Does listening to radio through wifi or 3G while in sleep mode, empty the battery fast?

hahah sounds like u have ur iphone confused with a Nokia N96.. now that phone has evertying we all want!! except the 3G quadband network and touch screen 😟 .. but hey if u want to listen to music try this web site..

--tpye this on ur safari..
flytunes.fm/player/mobile.aspx

i use it all the time and its great becasue u can listen to the music and still use all the iphone features at the same time.. unlike some apps that u have to have the app running the whole time and if u go to the main screen it just disconnects.. but not this one 😀.. have fun..

Another (partial) list of stations that can be streamed to your iPhone (using 3rd party software called ooTunes) is here:

http://www.ootunes.com/Radio%20streams%20that%20work%20on%20iPhone.html

This is particularly good for stations that only stream in Windows Media format (since there's no way to play them on your iphone directly, I'm looking at you clear channel and BBC!).

There's a couple thousand more stations that should work, but haven't been added to that list yet, so if you don't see your favorite, don't lose hope (yet).

Also, ooTunes costs $20 and it's far from free, and I am the developer so:

I may receive some form of compensation, financial or otherwise, from my recommendation or link.
