Unpublishing

Okay, I'm new to this, and I've looked through the other asked questions, and though people have asked similar things to this, I still don't understand it.

I've published a few pages. I'd like to unpublish them from my .me site, but I don't want to lose them. I'd like to work on them and re-publish them at a later date. How do I do that? I've "Published them to a folder," assuming I can re-upload them later, but I have no idea how to do that. Am I thinking this through correctly? I'm scared to "Delete" the pages until I learn whether or not I can bring them back... and how.

Thanks.

It is not clear whether you are publishing to MobileMe or uploading directly to your web space? Which one is it, because it does make a difference?

If you are publishing to MMe, then go to your iDisk through System Preferences in your MMe account and go to where your site is stored and just delete the site from here.

If you have uploaded directly, then you would need to connect to your web space with whatever ftp program you use and then delete the folders that you have uploaded from the public_html folder.

Next, please remember that iWeb saves all its files under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. If you want to save or work on any site you need to save the domain.sites file and nothing else. There is no point in saving by publishing to a folder because this will just save a published site that you can then do absolutely nothing with except upload. You cannot alter or amend a published site.
