Converting 59.94fps to 24fps

Hello everyone!

I shot some DVCPRO HD 720p footage at 59.94fps using AGHVX 200. Then I used Log and Transfer and made a QT movie. My client wants the footage at 24fps. What is the best way to convert the frame-rate?

In FCP I saw the DVCPRO HD frame rate converter under the Tools tab but I dont know how that works. I am looking through the manual but cant find anything....

Thanks!

That's a hard one.

I'd test it out in Shake if you have it or have access to it.

I'd test it out by shoving it into a 23.98 sequence with a crowbar and see if you can live with the results.

I'd see if compressor can do it by creating fields giving you 30fps interlaced and then use Nattress.com's standards converter. It works best by using 30i and converting it to 24.

Either way it isn't going to be good.
