Creating links to pages within iWeb site

Does anyone know how to create a link on an iWeb page that has a navigation button at the top, to another page within your iWeb site? I want to have a page that gives an introduction to a topic and then have links to additional pages still within my iWeb site but avoid having navigation buttons at the top for every page to avoid to from being too cluttered. I haven't been able to figure out how to create links or how to delete the pre-made navigation button at the top that is automatically produced when I add another page.

Thanks for your help!

To remove a page from the automatic iweb nav bar, go to the inspector button in the lower right corner of the app. Then select the second icon over from the left and deselect "include page in navigation menu".

To make a text or object a hyperlink, highlight the text or object, go to the inspector and click on the second icon from the right, then select "enable as a hyperlink", and choose one of your pages from the drop down menu.

Hope that helps! Also don't forget to use the Help menu in iWeb as well as the search field on the right of this page.

What you want to do is called sub pages or a hidden page and is very easy to do.

Create your parent page and keep that link in the nav bar. Then create your sub pages, but don't forget to have a hidden link to your sub pages and back to the parent page.

For an easy example, my own site was getting too cluttered, so I decided to hide some pages to de-clutter my nav bar (I made my own), so I had a general title Bodywork on one page. I then wanted to create two sub pages under Bodywork - Sports and Remedial Massage and Craniosacral Therapy, so what I did was create the two sub pages with all the links back to bodywork, but then created shapes at the bottom of both pages with Back and Next that links to the hidden pages and back to the parent page. If you wanted to get back to the parent page, the Bodywork nav bar link was there, with also the Back or Next button hyperlinked to the hidden pages and the parent page.

You can use whatever you want as hyperlinks from text boxes to shapes. Just ensure that the hidden pages link to each other and back to the parent page and it will work fine.
