PLEASE HELP!!!! I am now having another problem! My iPod is not showing up in iTunes at all now & my screen is frozen on my iPod. I can't do anything with my iPod! What's happening???!!!Windows XP
You appear to have 3 different problems, whether they are related, I am not sure.
Lets start with iTunes will not close.
If you use NO32 start here:
Disabling sharing in your iTunes Preferences may help.
If That's not it, closure problems have been associated with Bonjour. See this FAQ to see what Bonjour does.
The article also tells you how to stop Bonjour, does this cure the problem. If so and you do not need Bonjour, you can uninstall it.
Finally the problem has also be associated with Apple Mobile Device Support. If you do not have an iPhone or Touch it can be uninstalled.compaq presario iPod 20GB iTunes 188.8.131.52, Windows XP, SP3
NOD32 is a make of security software:
If you haven't heard of it you probably don't have it.compaq presario iPod 20GB iTunes 184.108.40.206, Windows XP, SP3
I still can't close my iTunes without Ctrl - Alt- Del & I still can't get into iTunes store. Thankfully I have sorted out the problem with my iPod. I have removed Bonjour & the Apple Mobile application, as I don't have an iTouch or iPhone.Windows XP
For the iTunes store, you need to post the results of your network connectivity tests.
iTunes Help>>Run Diagnostics>>Network connectivity tests.
Copy and paste the entire result into your next post.
A common problem if you upgraded is blocking by your firewall. Try briefly disabling it to see if that allows connection. If it does your firewall needs to be reconfigured to give access to the new version of iTunes.
Briefly disabling the firewall is not too dangerous provided you connect to the internet via a router.compaq presario iPod 20GB iTunes 220.127.116.11, Windows XP, SP3

Currently Being ModeratedOct 9, 2008 12:19 PM (in response to *this is my name)I dunno if this would solve these problems necessarily, but give it a whirl. It tells you how to change your ISP address if at a new/different location:
you know i am having the same problem with my itunes! i can't get the itunes store to open up either. i have never had a problem with opening it before i downloaded the new version. it wants to open, but then it gives me a error message talking about my network and stuff like that. what do i do?Windows XP
