8/27/08 Itunes Store is temporarily unavailable ?

I am having the same issue. I thought it was because I just updated my itunes so I went back and reinstalled it. No luck fixing the issue. I called apple support and they said that itunes was NOT down. Not sure what the problem is but would sure love someone to point me in the right direction!!!

ok, I just got my issue fixed and here is how I did it
I reinstalled itunes 7
then I opened itunes and went under STORE
there I found AUTHORIZE COMPUTER
after reauthorizing my computer the problem was solved.
Give it a try and see how that works for you

I bought the 2.0 firmware for an ipod touch and it will not download getting the "itunes temporarily unavailable" jazz on multiple computers, tried on a mac and PC. Apple just needs to get its act together at this point. I'm very frustrated.

Me too, thank God I'm not the only one having this issue! I thought I was going to jail or something, the error message is very strange! LOL

I hope they fix it soon, I couldn't download a free app.

They are losing money, so I'm sure they will fix this issue soon. They just don't want me to buy anything, not even a free app. LOL

Seems it is back up! I'm able to download now without any error messages!

It's ont back up for me.. still getting teh same error message. Why isn't this a bigger deal?
