Anyone try converting Tivo files (shows) from Tivo to your iPod? Is this possible as I have Tivo and often times have put my TivoToGo shows on my laptop when I travel to catch up. But if I can tranfer them to my Pod then - wow...just...wow.

Interesting. We have Dish with DVR, so I'll be watching to see the answers.
You should be able to. There was an Engadget article that sounds exactly what you want:
How-To: Get TV shows off of your TiVo and onto your iPod (with video) - Engadget - www.engadget.com

Good read - thanks!
If you are running Mac OS X, you can use either Export2QT ($15) or MPEG2 Works 4 ($25) to convert TiVo or Dolby TiVo to QTime formats. NOTE: QT Pro required.
This is how I do it: (I am assuming you're Windows user)
Transfer video to your PC using TiVo Desktop software.
Use DirectDump utility (free) to stream the metadata from the file (tivo's protection).
Use Videora iPod Converter (also) free to convert the file to Ipod format.
The longest step is getting the show from TiVo to computer, if you have wireless tivo hookup and record in high quality like me.
DirectDump is really quick, and Videora is acceptable.

That's great, I've been using the second step from the endgadget article and then using Videora...now I can save some time by just doing the DirectDump and then direct to Videora.
Wish I could figure out which Videora setting to use for H264 encoding...I've just been converting them to mp4.
