New York City Department of Education Exchange Server

I can't seem to figure this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am doing something wrong and this appears quite foreign to me:

Please tell me what I put into each of the following:

IMAP Account Information
Name:
Address:
Description:

INCOMING MAIL SERVER
Host Name:
User Name:
Password:

OUTGOING MAIL SERVER
SMTP:

Is there anything that should go in the advanced settings?
IMAP Path Prefix, Server Port, or anything else. I cannot get anyone with the our illustrious Department of Education to assist on this issue.

If you are using an account with the New York City DOE as the post is titled, you should be setting up EXCHANGE email NOT IMAP. That is your problem.

Read a few posts above where you need to put in DOMAIN\USERNAME as well.

Thanks for the helpful information about setting up the NYC DOE email address on iPhone. Worked perfectly. However, I am trying to set it up in Apple Mail as well and I'm running into trouble. Do you know the correct info to fill in for the setup?

I am using entourage for my DOE email. I have schools.nyc.gov as my domain and central/username as my id but it still isnt working.
Do I need to change my advanced settings (LDAP) What am I missing?
