Keyboard running amok

I need help...my 667mhz vga powerbook keyboard is working weirdly. Many letters come out as numbers (but the number lock light is not on) and the delete key will not work as a back key. I know there must be a setting I have inadvertently turned on, but do not know what it is, nor can I find out how to restore the default keyboard settings. Any help will be most appreciated. Please contact me either via this board or at my email address: pdspears@hawaiiantel.net

Thanks, EWW. I knew it wasn't something that required a major fix, so reread the online manuals and was able to get it back to working order by press the FN key and the Number Lock key together. What threw meat first is that the Number Lock light is not working. So, it's minor and thank goodness I'm back in business getting the pbook ready to travel.
