Stand for using a laptop on stage

I'll soon be doing my first gig with a laptop on the stage as part of my performing rig. I'm a little nervous about having a brand new Macbook Pro on a stage with 8 performers running around plus techs. What are you guys using for a stand to support your laptop?

I have a flat piece of wood (mdf, similar to chipboard) that I've mounted a PA speaker stand holder underneath. This then fits on top of a PA speaker stand.

On the wood, I have 3 small pieces of wood that form a 'lip', one on the front (where the LCD latch is), and then one each side of the laptop. It's all painted black. Then I put a piece of non-slip material (like you put under mats/carpet on a wooden or tiled floor) under the laptop. Finally, I have a piece of velcro attached each side underneath the wood, that then sticks together along the back of the laptop - where the hinge for the LCD is. Wood is sprayed black.

Very sturdy, pretty cheap, and does the job well.

I've also made up a slide in space using 90 degree angle metal for my Profire 610 ...

Here's what I use:

I used to have a two keyboard rig, and the laptop sat on a shelf mounted on the cross beam below my main board. Now, I only use 1 USB controller (Novation 61 SL, love that thing) and I set my laptop on that adjustable second tier. I move it all the way to the side so I can fit a music stand next to it.
