Import contacts from iPhone into Itunes

Hi - I have a 16G iPhone 3G with about 200 contacts in it. I had a rep at an ATT store transfer all of my contacts from my previous Motorola cell phone into the iPhone. I now want to get these contacts onto my PC somehow. I have MS Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express 6, but I no longer have accounts for these, since they were for previous jobs.

Can someone please direct me to instructions on how to import these contacts from my iPhone into Itunes or into Outlook Express ?

Thanks!
Dave

I believe you'll actually need to use Windows Address Book. Outlook Express doesn't have the ability to store contacts. So, the way to go is to first create a dummy contact in Windows Address book, something that isn't in the phone. Then, connect up the iPhone and in the Info tab in iTunes, and choose to sync with Windows Address Book. It should merge them quite nicely for you.

From iphone users guide:

"You can sync contacts with applications such as Mac OS X Address Book, Microsoft
Entourage, Yahoo! Address Book, and Google Address Book on a Mac, or with Yahoo!
Address Book, Google Address Book, Windows Address Book (Outlook Express),
Vista Contacts, or Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 on a PC. (On a Mac, you can sync
contacts with multiple applications. On a PC, you can sync contacts with only one
application at a time.) "

Itunes is only the conduit that syncs your program with the iphone, contacts aren't stored in tunes, they are synced with you computer's contact management program.

Make sure that your computer's contact management program has at least one contact entered ( even if it is a dummy contact - you can remove it later). When you sync your iphone you should be able to merge the contacts from the iphone.
