Pro series letters to appear individually

Is there an automated process whereby if I use for example the "computer" pro series effect, the letters will come up one after the other for my phrase. The only way I have been able to do this thus far is by having each letter appear on a separate line and it is very tedious and time consuming.

Not exactly automated but you can get what you want with some slight adjustments.

Highlight your word that you want the letters to appear one-by-one.

Click on the timing Tab

click in the sequence box and type a percentage. Start with 5.

You will need to adjust this based on your needs.
