USB Audio Driver

While attempting to troubleshoot a usb audio problem, I downloded and installed some horrible third party usb audio driver that overwrote the driver that comes standard in OSX.

I've got the third party driver uninstalled, but now have no USB audio driver at all. Is there some way to reinstall the generic USB audio driver that comes bundled with OSX?

I installed this driver, which somehow replaced the generic usb audio driver.

I'm digging around in my install cd using pacifist. Any Idea where the audio driver might be?

I don't believe it replaced anything. The installer simply places PGUSBAudio.kext in /System/Library/Extensions and touches that same directory as it should. I don't see anything in any of its scripts that would delete any existing drivers.

There's absolutely no reason to overwrite anything. Where did you find this product?

Your only hope is to reinstall the OS or try to dig what you need out of the installer packages with Pacifist.
