Iphone 3g speakers stopped working

The speakers on my (replacement) iphone stopped working. I have restored, reset...all the r's. I've tried everything. Still no sound. Works fine with headphones. Any ideas?
This ***** because I bought the iphone 2 weeks ago and had the have the first one replaced because it wouldn't ring in sleep mode...now this. I am an apple guy..i love the phone but this is depressing.
***** even more because I am in Canada and I can't go into a store and physically show anyone.

A small point - the iPhone only has 1 speaker (behind the grill on the left).
The microphone is behind the grill on the right hand side.

Make sure you do not have the Silent / Ring switch engaged, this was a problem with someone else today.

You can also try inserting and removing the headphone several times in a row. Sometimes the iphone thinks that headphones are still plugged in and this seems to help clear it.

Hey,
Thanks , but, I have already tried putting the jack in and out several times and the ringer is not on silent.. it still vibrates when someone calls. I think I'll have to send this one back as well..bummer.

The phone is being replaced. I talked with the iphone support in Canada with Rogers (who strangely enough they have been way way more helpful than apple support in both situations.....and believe me I don't want to say that, but it's true)...So they are sending me another replacement...the second time this has happened. I really hope this one hangs in there. Thanks for the 2 replies.

I had this problem with my first phone and had it replaced. Replacement phone has worked fine.

I was wondering how long did you have your phone before you returned it?

I bought mine in August. And it just started this whirlwind of a problem with the sound and stuff a week and a half ago.
