Ipod advice

Im looking at buying an ipod 60gb video I have a couple of questions
If I buy one when i visit the usa will it play everything in the uk or are there any differences?
If I buy one in the usa and I have problems with it when im back home will it be covered under warranty?

Any help would be great

videos will work anywhere, its just the format. im about to experience the same thing as i have to take my ipod back to a uk apple store today (i bought it in the us) i hope they exchange it

My old iPod was bought in the usa just after christmas last year. It went wrong here in the UK about a month ago. No problem getting the thing fixed, I think from logging the support call on the website to receiving a new iPod was about 2 weeks with no hassle at all.

the ipod 1 year warranty can be used anywhere. i had to repair my 3rd gen 20gb through apple when i purschased it in nyc and i live in england and it was repaired fine
