I got my new 3G last night and set it up and everything was fine! I didnt have much signal strength but i wasnt worried, then this morning i walked outside to go to work and now it says INVALID SIM! WHAT DO I DO????????????
First, turn off then on your phone. Next, remove and reinstall the SIM card. If you still see the same message, you can call AT&T at 800-331-0500 from another phone (which is what you'll be instructed to do if you dial 611 from your iPhone) and AT&T can perform a refresh on your iPhone account. Else, visit an Apple Store or an AT&T Store for a new SIM card.

Reseat, not reset. Eject the SIM card tray using the SIM extractor tool that came with your iPhone (it's in the black 'envelope' that contains the documentation), or an opened paperclip (the 'tool' is basically a glorified paperclip, actually). Then, remove the card from the tray, replace it, and close the tray.
