Iphone doesn't connect to Itunes

Well, for some odd reason, when i plug in my phone to the computer, niether the computer nor itunes recognizes it. So i called support and they were able to help me..HOWEVER, when i plug it in, my computer recognizes it but not itunes..i tried reinstalling itunes and i tried connecting my phone to it but itunes sitll doesnt recognize it. Please help me!!
