Can't Pair my Plantronics Voyager 521 to iPhone..

Was your bluetooth paired to another cell phone previously? If yes you need to unpair your bluetooth to the old phone and then re-pair it with the iPhone. If you're not sure how to unpair it to the old phone check the manual for the bluetooth.

I had the same problem with my Blue Tooth headset (Plantronics 520). I called apple support and had me do the following:

1. Select the Settings icon
2. Select General
3. Go to the bottom and select Reset
4. select Reset All Settings (Warning! This will reset everything on the General page)

This worked for me, hope it works for you.

I have a Plantronics Voyager 510 and I am having exactly same issue with the pairing. It was previously paired to my Nokia phone.I called Plantronics and they said that you can pair your headset with my new phone, provided my other phone is switched off.

But still so far I have not been able to pair this headset with my iPhone.
Can anyone help?

If you can, try pairing your headset with a friends phone just to make sure it works at all. Also, it doesn’t matter if the WiFi is on or off with the iPhone,they use two different frequencies.

I tried tour steps and it did worked. I had to unpair the headset from my old cellphone and then paired it again. The headset has to be brought in the pairing mode first and then iPhone detects and pairs with it.

The post about the "being paired with another phone" issue is incorrect; in fact the same bluetooth headset can be paired to as many bluetooth things as you like. The issue I had at first was making sure the red and blue light were blinking as according to the directions. (520) It's a fairly easy bump of the toggle on the Plantronics 520 - you simply need to make sure red and blue are blinking - no problem after that. Only annoying issue I have now is that the phone chooses when to allow the Plantronics to answer - sometimes it's automatic, sometimes I have to punch through the menu to have the thing work.

I have a Plantronics Voyager 510 and had the same problem and just fixed it this morning. What I had to do was turn the Bluetooth off, set the headset to pairing mode, then turn bluetooth back on. Paired right up.
