Would like Photoshop to open photos instead of Preview

How can I set it up so when I double click on a photo file, it will automatically open in Photoshop, instead of the Preview?

Thanks.

Hi

Control click or right click on an image file, a sub-menu appears, one of the options on the menu is 'Open With" with a sub-menu coming from that. On this sub-menu will be listed installed applications capable of opening the file, at the bottom of the menu is the 'Other' option, select this and you should be presented with a finder window that allows you to add the application you want to use to open those files, at the bottom right hand corner of the window is the 'Always Open With' option, select desired application and enable the option.

Third time is the charm; my apologies. Now it's working.... Tried the "get info" method, and that did the trick. Couldn't seem to get the right-click option to work, even though I made it to the finder window and checked change all. Thanks for your patience for someone who posted too soon — and again, for the help here. I seldom have to post because so many of you have offered your help and expertise before I got here....
