ssh can't connect: Operation timed out

Hello,

I use ssh, sftp connection since years.
From Yesterday when I try to connect with ssh from *remote machine* I have an error message only: connect to our host port 22: Operation timed out.

I tried it from different locations. The situation is the same.

But I can connect inside the server if I open a Terminal (with Timbuktu), so sshd is working. I didn't find any error message in the server logs.

I tried restart the server several times, installed the latest combo update (10.4.11), performed permission repair. The situation is the same.

What could be the problem? Thanks: Zoli

I didn't modify the firewall all other settings settings last days.
The problem started yesterday. After permission repair, combo update and restarts the problem was the same. Later I only checked the firewall settings and logfiles, and not more.

Several minutes before suddenly I could connect again with ssh from remote machine.
It is a bit mystique. (There is not more sysadmin on our server.) Perhaps it could be some problem at our ISP ... I don't know.

Anyway thanks for answer.

Zoli
