iTunes will not play if AirTunes speakers are selected.
I installed my AirPort Express a few days ago and had no issues setting up Airtunes. I was able to play songs through the remote stereo without difficulty; there were some issues with breaks in the songs which I attributed to doing some processor intenstive stuff on the computer.
Yesterday I installed and set up "Remote" for my iPhone. I had no issues pairing it with the computer. However, since then, iTunes will not play if the remote speakers are selected.
To clarify-- if I select any song and press play, the button switches to indicated that it has been pressed (e.g. changes to "Pause") but the song does not advance-- the clock stays at 0:01. If the computer speakers are selected, there is no problem. If both speakers are selected, the song will play, but only through the computer speakers.
Note that I have the most up to date versions of iTunes and Airport extreme and express firmware installed and have rebooted the computer.
Any help is appreciated.
