About half of my iPhone applications no longer make sounds. I checked to see if they were all from the same developer, and they are not. I've turned the phone off twice to see if that makes a difference, with no luck. Can someone tell me what else I can try? Please note, some applications are still audible, so it's not that I've turned the phone onto silent mode without realizing it or that the phone volume is turned all the way down. They worked fine last night. Have not sync'd in a week (because it takes to long now that the entire contents of phone are backed up every time).

I've frequently have the exact same problem. Except somehow it will fix itself for a couple weeks and then happen again. I haven't been able to narrow down what happens to make it start working again.

    Any solutions would be great.

Hi, I had same Problem. What noticed if the ringer was off(side button) some apps would not have sound and even if you turned the ringer back on the sound would not always come back. But then I realized after turning ringer back on the volume was down. Let me know if this helps you. I was very confused at first. Good luck. Jim

I think I figured out my problem with sounds! Its the little button above the volume up and volume down button. It was turned to Lock. I wondered where the lock button was... I guess I accidently locked my phone!

Just check that button, maybe that will solve the mystery of sounds that sometimes disappear.
