IPod is real picky about the formats it will play and from what i've read videora doesn't work well with h.264 encoding. What setttings did you use?
I honestly have no idea what settings i used or where i go to find out what they are. im really slow when it comes to computers, so i have to be explained in detail.
would something like handbrake be better than videora?
plz reply, thx

yea um... after you convert it.. go to itunes than add folder to library and the new movie u converted should be in the C:/Program files/videora converter/videos
I can get my videos to itunes, but I can't get them on my ipod. When I connect my ipod it says there is an error, these songs can not be played on the ipod. Please help. I'm sure I have to change the format. I spent $30 on that videora last night and the ipod converter and it's pretty much worthless, there is too much stuff I don't understand. I need it in simple terms. Also, when I download videos from Limewire, I can't get them into itunes. How can I convert them? THe videos I do have in there are from bittorres. Thanks for any help. I am losing sleep over this. I can't stand not being able to figure this out.
Angela,
Sorry you are having trouble. I am using Quicktime to convert video for the ipod with success and no trouble. I am not familiar with videora (I use a Mac). Have you tried using the PC version of Quicktime? Maybe that would help.

I am STUPID when it comes to this. Is this the quick-time that is installed with itunes?
ok, i just recently figuered out how to convert limewire videos to the ipod format using videora. ill do my best to list the steps for you.
1.-download the videos you want from limewire
2.-click the "explore" icon on limewire to put those videos in a folder.
3.-create a new foler on you desktop. (have the limewire folder minimized)
4.-go back to the limewire folder and go to edit, select all
5.-drag and drop the videos from the limewire folder to the folder you just created on your desktop.
6.-open videora. select the folder containing your videos, and convert them (should take a while)
7.-open itunes when videos are converted
8.-go to file, add new folder C:/Program files/videora converter/videos
9.-your videos should be added. then update your ipod. good luck!

1) open Videora iPod Converter
2) click 'Setup' (in the left pane)
3) on the settings tab, choose the 'One-Click Profile' "H.264/320x240/768kbps Stereo/128kbps"
4) change 'Output Videos to' to c:\videos
5) click 'Save'
6) click 'Convert' (left pane again)
7) click 'One-Click Transcode'
8) select the video to convert, then wait
9) after Videora states 'Transcode Complete', open iTunes
10) select 'File - Add File to Library...' (in the menu)
11) browse to c:\videos and select the video you just made
12) click 'Videos' in the 'Source' pane (left pane in iTunes) and verify your video is in the Library
13) connect and update iPod
I hope this makes it more clear for you. I tried not to assume anything other than you have the Videora iPod Converter program and a video to convert for your iPod, and of course a 5G iPod. If this needs further clarification or if it does not work for you, I hope that some of the other forum members who have more experience than I do will chime in. Remember, there are no stupid questions.

Well Robogod, i've followed your guide, but after the file is done converting, i try to put the video file into itunes i get a windows error, and itunes closes. Do you know how to stop this from happing?
ITunes closing by itself sounds like it may be a corrupt iTunes installation or possibly some conflict in Windows. Can you import other files into iTunes (songs or videos)? My suggestion is:
1) backup your iTunes media files (music, videos, pictures)
2) restart Windows (seems to cure most problems I come across)
3) do a Repair Install of iTunes (run the iTunes installer again and choose 'Repair')
I haven't had this problem with iTunes itself, but it has happened with other programs. It is always a good idea to have a backup of important files. I personally keep backups on DVD and two hard drives (I may be a little paranoid).

Ok. I am at my witts end. I don't know where to start. This is too complicated. I'll try to start at the beginning. I have the videora ipod converter. I have windows. I was able to get a few videos on my ipod (mpeg) but when you go to "videos" they are not there. They are in "movies." AND THEY DO NOT PLAY THE VIDEO!!! The sound plays, but NO VIDEO!!! Nothing seems to be working. What should my settings be in "convert" and in "setup"? I need "DUMMIES" for IPOD 5G. THe only video that plays on my ipod THE VIDEO is the one I purchased from Apple. The videos I have in itunes play normally, except one, the format is probably wrong. I do have several videos in my itunes but I don't know if they are in the correct format to go to ipod. The video converter says "complete", but it never took time to convert it. I just read on apple's website that ipod accepts H.264 and mpeg-4 video. I also can't seem to get my Limewire videos converted. I have read the previous threads and for some reason I just can't get it. Please, someone give me the BASICS in SIMPLE terms. Thanks
I have a similar problem, i convert my videos in videora i go to itunes and go to file and click open file, i select my converted videos out of the videora video folder and drag them into itunes, htey come up on my videos and library and they play fine but when i go to update my ipod it says "my video" can not be played on this ipod. i dont think im doing anything wrong, i have followed other threads on here about hwo to setup my videora settings but it still wotn work. hwoever one of my videos did go threw but the other 2 still wont work.
another problem i have is about my battery. it is at 3/4s an the bar is green an then ill go do something in my pictures an it will go down to almost nothing and the bar will be red, then it will jump back up to 3/4s a bar in green when i let it sit. Does anyone know how many hours an ipod is supposed to get off of a full charge. i thought it was like 20 hours i saw it somewhere but mine doesnt get close to that, probably 6 hours
any help is apreciated, thanks
