Plantronics Discovery 925 bluetooth headset

Anybody got it to work reliably with OS X? The speaker works fine, but the microphone causes all sorts of problems. I wanted to use it with skype and yahoo messenger but the microphone either doesn't work at all or is all garbled.

On plantronics' site it says it's not compatible with os x (I should have checked before i bought it). But maybe there's a way to get it to work?

MacBook Pro 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.5.2), 4GB RAM (keys that don't work 100% of the time when hit in the corners)

Exact same problem- Plantronics email support staff couldn't even be bothered to tell me it was a known issue. when i first hooked it up no sound at all, and after that, the static pulse. i can only speculate that it's related to the noise cancelation/ anti-sound built into core audio, but haven't found a way yet to disable that. would love an update to make this thing work!

After trying 2 Plantronics 925s...
I'm having the same problem with the apple iphone headset. I've posted about it here:

Of note, even after the headset has been turned off, if I select it as the audio input from system preferences I still get the electronic static pulse; this is clearly a problem on the mac side, either with OS X or the BT hardware in the MacPro.
