Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold Joystick?

I have upgraded from a Power Mac 2.7 Hz G5 to a MacPro 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad and in addition to losing my venerable MacAlly iMediaKey keyboard, I have discovered that my Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold joystick is not recognized. All my attempts at locating a driver for it have turned up empty (or for Windows).

Any recommendations on a replacement (for either)?

USBOverdrive and GamePadCompanion do not work well for flight simulation software. Actually, they do not seem to work well for my Saitek - although they at least acknowledge that it exists and I can get the buttons to work - it seems to be the sliders that are a problem.

Surely someone has found something that works.

Please help.

The oddest thing has happened. Out of frustration, I installed X-Plane 9 on the new computer and now the joystick works! Thanks for all the "help" here on the forum.

Thanks Laminar Research! I can fly again.
