Mouse Lag in Windows XP

Some times there is a random mouse lag (the sound seems to stutter also). Any solutions for this? I have installed all windows updates and rebooted a few times. Can't seem to fix this odd problem.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.4), iPhone Firmware Version 2.0.2

I have the very same problem. Haven't spent as much time discovering what the cause could be but at this stage i'm almost sure that it has something to do Flash Player because the lag kicks in almost instantly after viewing a page with Flash on it.

I have also noticed that the lag is caused by extensive use of one of the CPU. However, watching the Task Management closely, i could not tell what process kicks in at that very moment even after increased Update Speed.
