Apr 2, 2010 2:12 PM in response to Fatireby John0,Hmmm, i just went to reply to a recent post... and it's gone! Also, one of my own recent posts has, ...gone!
I'd recommend that anyone really wanting to get ALL the news from this thread subscribe, and to any threads you're involved in, and then get the new posts sent to you via email... that way you'll not miss anything...
Incidentally, if anyone is interested (hint), i have every post saved from when i first joined this thread, i mean every post (even ones that are 'gone')... -
Apr 2, 2010 2:47 PM in response to John0by denise CLARK,Hi John , I'm interested in all your posts, please email them to me. I noticed the same thing earlier when I went to reply to a post,,, gone! What a surprise! -
Apr 2, 2010 3:30 PM in response to John0by denise CLARK,I have contacted the BBC TV programe ' Watchdog' , check it out just google watchdog. I've told them there are many of us and lots more probably who have just thrown their MacBooks away after the graphics card has gone. I have told them lots which I won't repeat here for obvious reasons! -
Apr 2, 2010 4:28 PM in response to denise CLARKby John0,Hi Denise,
Tried to send an email to denise@[your web site] and CC'd to info@[your web site] from your profile but not sure they will get through...?
As an alternative, go to my profile, then to my web site link and then to the contacts page and send me your address... I have a 1.2mb text file with all the post emails since i joined (apart from my own posts to the thread as they don't get sent to me via email, if anyone has those i'd appreciate a copy)... Also, i have about 140mb of screen shots (may be too much to send via email), or i have about 30mb of the clearer shots downsized, i could ZIP those and send them or post them on my site with a link to download...
Cheers, John -
Apr 2, 2010 5:55 PM in response to John0by Fatire,FUDGING Apple I'm getting really tired of your behavior. It's one thing to ignore this MAJOR ISSUE thereby screwing all of us who bit this POS model and are burned. It's another to quell free speech about the issue.
GROW UP APPLE!
Guaranteed to be sensored by the man who was supposed to be the "different" man. -
Apr 2, 2010 11:34 PM in response to Fatireby knorven,There are other sited where this issue is discussed. Google 'X1600', 'Apple', 'investigation' & 'satisfaction' and you'll be surprised. Since this thread now is heavily censored by Apple's mods we should not "blog ourselves into a corner" and maybe all get banned. Then we would have no way to keep in contact. I know this isn't China or the Soviet Union but sometimes you may be forgiven for thinking it is. We ALL (that includes you) need to tell our story and leave our information with those who matter, not just complain here where nobody's listening anyway (at least not Apple). Also see my post from 02/04/2010 3:17 PM. Hang in there guys & girls. The fat lady ain't sung yet ;c) -

Apr 3, 2010 7:44 AM in response to denise CLARKby seancobrien,I am really surprised at how many people have this exact same problem and the fact that Apple doesn't seem to be listening.
Has anyone here started a Facebook page or anything like that? These marketing people seem to place an awful lot of value on Facebook and Twitter and if Facebook can get Betty White on SNL then maybe Facebook can get us some attention from Apple.
I am newish to this whole problem, but now that I know it's not just me my disappointment is really growing. -

Apr 6, 2010 6:02 AM in response to rami bisharaby cuillini,I have MBP version 1,1 with an ati x1600 .
I am also having problems with the gpu when I try to do anything graphics intensive. I get lines across the lcd that can only be removed by restarting the computer. At other times the computer locks up completely requiring a hard reset.
I took it to an apple store and they said they would charge me a lot of $ to get it fixed. I am sick and tired of this faulty laptop.
How can I get involved. I want to going any group or sign a petition etc...
Please let me know, I am very motivated to make apple listen to the problems with their crappy hardware.
