opening pics in ipod photo cache on my pc

i cannot veiw the photos from my iphone in my ipod photo cache folder on my pc.what do i need to view these pics on compaq pc?it keeps asking me a program to choose to view pics.which should i choose?or do i have to download a program to view them?
