I don't seem to be able to find an option for creating a Back Up for my Address Book. Earlier (10.4.x Tiger) it used to reside under the 'File' menu but i can no longer see it in Leopard. Is this a new change in the Leopard OS or should I be worried that I have a bug in the system? Any clues on how to back up my address book would be much appreciated.
Thanks

you can do File->export->address book archive.
a MUCH better solution would be a comprehensive system backup instead of backing up a few things here and there by hand.

Thanks - found the solution just as your reply came through.
I do regularly back up but not sure if my method is particularly the best. I simply copy my User folder to a backup disc. Is there some other approach that you would recommend?
there are automated backup solutions. first of all there is Time Machine which is built in into leopard. then there are 3rd party programs like CCCloner, Superduper, Retrospect etc. see [this post|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=7495315#7495315] for more options. I would recommend any of them over a manual backup.
