I am having the same problem, with the 2330 error. I followed the instructions to uninstall the update to version 7.7. I went to the Control panel and successfully uninstalled the Apple Update. But that did not resolve the problem and I still can't uninstall or repair the file.

The exact problem is a corrupt or unreadable file in ProgramFiles\itunes\itunes.Resources\fi.lproj\AppleTvHelp.chm

Perhaps replacing the file would work but I have not idea how to get the file to replace it.

Any ideas? I can't find any help on the itunes web site.

I need help too, i followed those steps you follwed and it still didnt work.
the message is "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2330." the folder that is corrupt is C:\ProgramFiles\iPod\bin\iPodService.Resources. it says "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." I tried to run a chkdsk but that didnt work either

I tried one more thing to resolve this but you can only do if you have access to a second computer (or a friend who uses itunes)

I copied the file that I was told was corrupt from a second computer to a thumb drive.

Then I renamed the corrupt file (I just added a number to the original name)

Next I copied the file from the second computer to the same location to replace the corrupt file. (There won't be a conflict since the original file was renamed.)

It seems to be working now. I may see if I can uninstall now and do a clean install.
