Dead pixels on iPhone! Should I/can I replace it?

There is a dead pixel on my iPhone. It's not that big of a deal, but it bothers me because well its there... I guess I'm sortof a perfectionist. Also the keyboard on my iPhone lags, and the back of my iPhone was scratched by the saleswoman when I first got the iPhone, so a replacement would 'kill three birds with one stone.' ...Or something like that 🙂

The problem is the closest Apple Store is 1 hour away. I'll probably call them, or visit my local AT&T store. As for the scratch, if I got a replacement that would resolve itself; it wouldn't be something I would mention.

The AT&T store wont be able to help you so don't waste your time. All iphone hardware related issues must go to the apple store.

How did you get on with replacing your phone? I'm on my 4th one at the moment, and for some strange reason this morning I decided to be a bit anal and have a real good look at my screen. I already knew I had 1 bright red stuck pixel, but today I noticed a further 15. Yes... I kid you not, ***** 15 stuck pixels. Booked an appointment with the Genius Bar for 15:15, so will let you know how I got on.

Just got back and I have to say they were very helpful at the Genius Bar. It was my first time dealing with them as I dealt with O2 for my 4 previous phones. They didn’t really ask me any questions, just noticed I was unhappy with my phone and offered a straight swap. The most disconcerting thing about receiving the replacement was that it came in a brown box. I asked whether it was refurbished or new, they said they honestly couldn’t tell me and that there was a very small percentage of it being refurbished. They assured me that there’s no way to distinguish the difference between a new and refurbished phone, so I wasn’t too fussed.
