Subversion-related error when attempting a refactoring in Xcode

I'm trying to rename one of my classes using XCode's built in refactoring, but I'm getting several errors. The menu pops up to something like:
Error: 155007 (Path is not a working copy directory) Description: '/Users/Carl/app/Classes' is not a working copy.
Error: 2 (No such file or directory) Description: Can't open file '/Users/Carl/app/Classes/.svn/entries': No such file or directory.

Interestingly enough, I'm using git instead of svn for this project, and haven't configured any SCM for it.
Has anyone seen this error before, or have any suggestions for how to fix it?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.4)
