Setting up SMTP server for Bell Sympatico

I can access my mail perfectly fine but I cant send emails. I know the outgoing mail server is called smtphm.sympatico.ca and port server is 25. Still I cant send emails.

Setting up Sympatico in your iPhone:

Incoming Mail Server:
Host - pophm.sympatico.ca
Username - full email add
Password - password

Outgoing Mail server:
SMTP - smtp1sympatico.ca [please note there is No dot btwn smtp & sympatico]

Go to smtp settings and your:
Primary Server - smtp1sympatico.ca will be On.
Now select Primary server:
Host smtp1sympatico.ca
Username - not necessary
Password - not necessary
Use SSL - On
Authentication - password
Server Port - 25

Other SMTP Servers settings:
smtphm.sympatico.ca will be On
Rogers SMTP Server will be on [pls note they both have to be turned On, don't have to do

anything more]

Advanced settings:

Use SSl - On
Authentication - Password
Server Port 995

You will be able to Send and Receive mail from Sympatico But if you have other custom

folders under your main sympatico setup, they somehow do not show up on the iPhone. But the

important and most relieving part is that you will now be able to Send and Receive mail with

ease. Any questions, please post and any new discoveries, please share.
