Remains Hot Even in Standby Mode

I recently purchased ATV and am still learning the ins and outs.

I finally thanks to the discussions here figured out how to put my ATV in standby mode.

However the ATV is just as hot in standby as it is on.

Is this normal that ATV is always hot?

IMac, Mac OS X (10.5.4), Iphone 8 gig, Apple TV, Vista Laptop and desktop

I believe you should find it a little less hot, but cool, no.
